An arrow points the way

Looking for a new quilt pattern is a process for me.  It requires a lot of Pinteresting, instagraming, more pinteresting, looking through my books and narrowing down the dozens and dozens of choices.  I wanted to pick a pattern that was easy and would come together quickly…but needed to be super cute!  This arrow quilt won my vote and I think it was a good pick!

I tried a number of different layouts for these blocks but this is by far the best layout!

I added a few extra blocks because I love a larger baby quilt…it helps when those cute babies start rolling around!

So far in my quilting journey I have done my own machine quilting…I keep it simple for sure!  I thought I would just do vertical lines, but realized quickly that my blocks didn’t line up perfectly and that bugged me, so luckily I had only done two rows of quilting…un-pick!!

Diagonal is the way to go…and besides that I have found that my favorite sewing foot is my Walking Foot!!
