Pumpkin Pumpkin who likes Pumpkin

I feel SUPER domesticated…Look at me baking pie pumpkins to make my own pumpkin puree.

I am scouring recipes from Smitten Kitchen this month.  I love everything fall and pumpkin, so it was just meant to be that I try my hand at homemade pumpkin.

Completely surprised at how easy this process was!!

Now lets get to the Pumpkin Bread, again by Smitten Kitchen….the magic is in fresh spices

It turned out so goooooood!!  Now I need to find some friends to share it with so I don’t eat it all by myself…that could be troublesome to my waistline.

Lemons anyone?

Who knew that lemons are hard to find right now…4 stores later and tadaa, I have lemons.  Apparently a heat wave in California is causing a lemon and lime shortage…I had no idea.

Don’t they just look good enough to eat:)

Mina’s Lemon Bars

This is the perfect way to finish off a luncheon with 20 of my favorite Senior Sisters luncheon.

Peach Caprese Salad

My daughters and I have decided that we would create a Cookbook Book Club, since we don’t live by each other, we thought what a fun, creative way to feel like we are all in the same kitchen.

Each month, one of us picks a cookbook and that is the book we all cook from.  I was the first pick, so of course I picked the Magnolia Table Cookbook!  It is beautifully written and illustrated! ACS_0423

Here is my first attempt and success!

Peach Caprese   pg. 117

I will give it five stars!

One of the rules, which was my rule, is that it is not only about the cooking, but the presentation as well. It tasted just as good as it is beautiful!
