It’s Fall Ya’ll

Don is out of town this week, and I am home listening to the workers pound on my roof.  In order to sell our house we needed to put on a new roof. It is only a 11 year old roof, but the relocation company is requiring it.  Needless to say we are NOT happy about it.  SO, to keep busy and sane, because it is LOUD inside my house I decided to get started on something fall related.

When I saw the Mini Maple Charm Quilt  created by Corey Yoder, I knew I had to make it! I started cutting and prepping on Monday.

I’m going to be honest with you, these leaves were harder the make then I thought. Let’s just say my un-picker was used frequently.  I’m not use to working with such small squares, but it was a challenge I enjoyed. IMG_2779.JPG

I threw in a little farmhouse @figtreeandco along with Sundrops by Corey Yoder.

A little peek at all the leaves! I couldn’t wait to put them together so I pushed through!

I couldn’t wait to put these pieces together!

I am hoping to be done today or tomorrow! Well I have to be because I’m not taking my machine with me to Seattle until the house sells.

So many projects begin and never end…I would like  this to be done in the fall so I can show it off!!

What is your favorite fall quilt or project?

At My Door

Fall is my favorite time of year!  I love pumpkin patches, scarecrows, and fall leaves!  I don’t decorate for Halloween, I just go fall all the way, that way I can look at my fall decor from September  thru November!!

Today I am one thankful turkey

First off, I would like to think that I am very consciences, or I try to be ultra sensitive to the blessings that are mine and give thanks daily to my Heavenly Father  who literally opens the windows of heaven and pours me out blessings so great that I have room not to receive them!!

My list is lengthy…
My hubby, he is so awesome and everything plus more than I ever wanted in a husband
My children…they are my purpose for being
The gospel of Jesus Christ which gives me direction and purpose and reason for being AND insight to who I can become
My beautiful homes
the spirit that fills these homes
ability to workout and love it
wonderful, supportive friends
lunch dates with those peeps
being a grandma!!
rainy days and cozy blankets
good books…love stories are best
warm bed
cell phones
text messages
my job at potterybarn
movie days
Seminary, education week and study hours
trips to experience new things, new sights, new smells, new sounds
Material things…my camera, shoes, clothes, jackets, shopping, lipstick, rain boots, gym clothes, make up,
everything about fall actually
quiet days by myself
crazy loud days with the family
sleeping through the night
ability to hear the spirit whisper
knowing I can go to the doctor with what ails me
a generator when the power goes out:0
the sound of wind and rain tapping on the windows
temple which makes us a forever family!!
The list could literally go on and on…

More from my Fall list…

More fall to love!!!

Don’t these pictures just say warm, cozy, welcome, crisp, crunchy, brilliant, bright, vibrant, changing, harvest, colorful, fresh, brisk,  spectacular, hibernate…

What about that pumpkin!!! it’s HUGE!! Why isn’t it orange??

Pumpkin Patch…more off my list!!

Aren’t pumpkins just awesome, I love looking at them, they are like snowflakes…no two are alike.

Sunflowers are another favorite…my bucket list would include standing in the middle of a huge field of sunflowers…they just say “Happy” to me!
All right…this is the cutest pumpkin I have ever seen!!  I love having a little one to take to the pumpkin patch…I haven’t been for about 3 years now cause all the kids are “too big”…what, no one is ever too big!  Every fall I tell Don, “I want to go to the pumpkin patch”, but we just never got around to it, but no more!! Thank you Quentin for humoring grandma!!

Fall, the best season of the year!

Don’t you just love fall!! I love everything about it, I love the colors, the smells, the tastes, the feel…It just makes me happy!!  Because I love it so much I am going to see how many of the things on this list I can accomplish…wish me luck…I can’t wait!!

I love my Potterybarn accessories…its the sole reason I work there!! Don’t you just love the rich beautiful colors!!  I don’t put out any Halloween decor, I did when I had little kids, but now I just love putting out things that bring fall into my home and better yet, I don’t have to change it out for at least two months!
