President Nelson’s 4 Challenges in

Women’s Session 2018

1. Participate in a 10-day fast from social media

and any other media which may produce

negative and impure thoughts. Notice and

record changes, experiences and impressions

during this time. “The effect of your 10-day

fast may surprise you.”

2. Read the Book of Mormon between now and

the end of the year and mark each verse

which refers to the Savior. Doing so will invite

blessings of increased inspiration, revelation

and miracles by bringing you closer to the

Savior.

3. Attend the temple regularly and make it a

habit. Time in the temple will “teach you how

to draw upon His priesthood power with

which you have been endowed in His

temple.”

4. Participate more fully in Relief Society and

study the current Relief society statement of

purpose. Doing so will help women to better

understand their purpose at this precise time

and their role in the gathering of Israel.

SMILE…

These things make me smile….

   The smell of spring
A rainy day and a good book
A text that says, “I love you”
   Monday morning emails from Andrew
   Looking at my fabric
   Turning on my sewing machine
   Walking out of the gym
   Yummy tacos
A bike ride along the ocean
   Visits from my kids
   Weekends with Don
   Going to bed
   Walking into a massage
   Birds chirping outside my window
   Shopping
 Holding my grand babies
   Reading my scriptures
   Walking into the temple
A movie that makes me cry
   A book that I can’t put down
   Taking pictures
   Flying
   A yummy salad
   Lunch with friends
   Facetiming
An afternoon at the hair salon
   A clean house
The sound of laundry in the machine
   Spending time on FamilySearch.org
  Our family text group
   Ice Cream
   Cute shoes
   Oranges hanging from our tree
 INSTAGRAM
 When all kids are happy…
   PINK PEONIES

I could go on and on!  My favorite saying is “Look for the good in everyday”…as we do this a smile should be on all our faces!

Forever Friends & Family

Every one needs a best friend and when that best friend is your shopping buddy it’s an added bonus!  We vacation together and every year attend BYU Education Week…it is a wonderful experience and one that I look forward to and cherish!
What’s really unbelievable is that we are sister in-laws and we share the same birthday.  When people make comments and ask if we are sisters my response is, “sisters from different mothers”!!  (of course I always say she’s older, but clearly you can tell that is not true).  Cyndy will be in many of my post because she is one styling’ woman!!
