Hillary and Eric had known for weeks that their little baby would need heart surgery soon after birth, not sure that knowledge is super helpful, but I suppose that mentally you are better prepared.
Day 6 after birth he was in the hands of doctors and nurses that have been trained, guided and inspired to do the work they have been called to. It is simply amazing and a miracle that a tiny little heart can be repaired and healed.
This is round two for our whole family as Olivia had the same type of heart issues. That was also comforting and reassuring to us, as Olivia is strong, happy and healthy.
