Don is out of town this week, and I am home listening to the workers pound on my roof. In order to sell our house we needed to put on a new roof. It is only a 11 year old roof, but the relocation company is requiring it. Needless to say we are NOT happy about it. SO, to keep busy and sane, because it is LOUD inside my house I decided to get started on something fall related.
When I saw the Mini Maple Charm Quilt created by Corey Yoder, I knew I had to make it! I started cutting and prepping on Monday.
I’m going to be honest with you, these leaves were harder the make then I thought. Let’s just say my un-picker was used frequently. I’m not use to working with such small squares, but it was a challenge I enjoyed.
I threw in a little farmhouse @figtreeandco along with Sundrops by Corey Yoder.
A little peek at all the leaves! I couldn’t wait to put them together so I pushed through!
I couldn’t wait to put these pieces together!
I am hoping to be done today or tomorrow! Well I have to be because I’m not taking my machine with me to Seattle until the house sells.
So many projects begin and never end…I would like this to be done in the fall so I can show it off!!
What is your favorite fall quilt or project?
Wow! That is really pretty! There’s a nice fall quilt on the current issue of Fons & Porter magazine that I’d like to make. I feel for you on the roof; we have a roof with a lifetime warranty (technically 50 years and the house is less than 20). Our insurance company still raised the rates because of the age. Ridiculous. Needless to say, I got them to change that!
